The St. Elizabeths campus in Southeast D.C.’s greatest redevelopment project has new designs.
Why it’s important The 183-acre project will include the construction of hundreds of new houses, a $375 million hospital administered by GW, and additional stores.
Driving the news: According to UrbanTurf, the development’s focal point will be a five-structure complex including a 178,000-square-foot office building, a hotel, and as many as 300 apartments.
A grocery store, shopping mall, and public park are all part of the plan.
A chefs-in-residence program will be offered by The José Andrés Group.
The curved design is currently undergoing permission from a historic evaluation.
