According to a source close to Brad Pitt, the release of FBI records describing the purported altercation between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on a private flight in 2016 “serves no purpose other than to cause suffering.” It’s The Independent.

Jolie provided a detailed account of Pitt’s alleged journey between France and Los Angeles on September 14, 2016, which she recounted in the documents obtained by Rolling Stone and Puck.

The source wrote, “Both parties have had this material for almost six years, thus it is sufficient to submit an anonymous FOIA request for information that you already have and that has been utilized in prior court proceedings.” The statement seemed to suggest that Jolie’s team was responsible for the leak.

The Independent has contacted Jolie representatives for comment.

Pitt allegedly yelled at Jolie, “grabbed her by the head,” shook her, “shoved her against the restroom wall,” and repeatedly smashed the plane’s ceiling, according to the records. Jolie also reportedly claimed that Pitt had grabbed her by the head.

that is nefarious Pitt, according to the actor, “popped up beer [Jolie] and the blanket she was beneath” during the flight and drank a number of alcoholic beverages, the actor claimed. She claimed that as the plane touched down, red wine spills caused $25,000 worth of damage.

In other parts of the documents, Pitt claimed that he warned Jolie that she was “ruining the family” and that one of her kids “looked like the freaking Columbine kid.”

After an investigation into the incident, no charges were filed “due to a number of factors.” Rolling Stone reported.

In 2016, Pitt denied allegations that he abused one of his children on the private jet.

Jolie filed for divorce on September 19 and listed September 15, the day after the jet incident, as the date of separation in her divorce papers.

Since then, they have been involved in many court cases, including a custody case involving their six children, three of whom were adopted.
