Having a bachelor or bachelorette party is a great way to celebrate before the big day, but one bride isn’t so keen.
The woman told Reddit she wasn’t interested in having any sort of hen do, but still fancies a treat from her bridesmaids.
To be exact, the bride wants her bridal party to pay for her to enjoy a luxury spa stay before her wedding.
Sharing her story anonymously, the American female explained that none of her bridesmaids would be invited to her spa day.

She said: “Would going on my ‘bachelorette’ party by myself be weird?
“I would ask the girls to pitch the amount of money they would have paid just so I spend a weekend pampering myself.
“I just have girls that live all over and they have kids, so I just feel like this would be easier and less stressful for me to do it this way.”
Reddit users were baffled by the bride’s request, with many claiming she was “greedy”.
One said: “This woman is so out of touch she is orbital. I hope no one pays for her vacation.”
Another added: “She could also ask her bridal party to give her money they would have spent on their gowns, hair, and make-up.”
But others sided with the bride, saying they’d be happy to pitch in for a spa day.
A user said: “I mean do I blame her… not really. Would I ever ask of that? Nope.
“Absolutely not. File under things we might secretly want to do but all know better.”
